You Will Never Throw Away LEMON PEELS After knowing its uses
Lemons are a perfect natural option for all your daily requirements and most important its easily availability its not only they do smell and taste great, but they possess antibacterial properties making them perfect for killing germs. Their low pH makes them perfect for beauty and personal care, and they are perfect to use for all skin type othe when applied directly to the skin, lemon juice can lighten age and sunspots. Lemons have a high concentration of citric acid, which is great for general disinfecting and cleaning.
1)Make lemon pepper
Preheat toaster oven to lowest setting. In a large bowl, Mix lemon zest and black pepper. Cover metal pan fitted for toaster oven with foil and spread mixture evenly in pan. Allow to bake low and slow until zest is completely dried. For me it took about 25-30 minutes.
Shift lemon-pepper mixture to a bowl. Crush mixture until desired texture is achieved. You can add
Salt also, as per your requirement just make sure do not add much or until you have the balance to fit your taste.

3)Deodorize you garbage bin
Most of the time vegetable peels are harmful to your garbage disposal, citrus rinds can be beneficial. Lemon and orange peels can clean out your garbage disposal and leave your garbage bin smelling better. And for doing you need not to go extra efforts juts lemon peels in your bin underneath the plastic bag .this will add lemon scent and you need not to spend anything extra and keep replacing it them at least twice a week
4)Clean grime from your sinks and bathtubs
With the regular use there is scum build up in your bathroom and only two always available ingredients will clean your sinks and bathtub all you need to do is sprinkle the affected area with baking soda and use lemon quarters to scrub it away. The lemon acts as a bleaching agent and makes everything squeaky-clean.
5) Remove grease or underarm stains on clothing
If there are any stains in clothes which are tough to clean so you’re leftover lemon peel comes in picture to clean it off. Just have half a lemon that has been squeezed, there will still be enough lemon juice in the remaining pulp to remove stains. Rub the half lemon on grease or underarm stains on garments.
Allow it to sit overnight. For tough stains, sprinkle a bit of baking soda over the lemon-soaked stain and scrub, then wash as usual. Just keep in mind if using baking soda so does not leave this for overnight ,2 hours are enough. And then wash as normal. This works for grease stains too .
6) Clean off Underarms:
If you've noticed a bit of discoloration around the underarms , you can take a squeezed lemon half and sprinkle some sugar on it, rub it around your underarm area , keep this for 5 minutes and wash it off with Luke warm water , Repeat this process thrice a week and soon you will notice the change .
7) Clean off teapots and coffee:
The acid in lemons works to dissolve hard water deposits as well sediment which builds up on coffee and teapots, instead of using an abrasive cleaner add the rinds of two lemons, 2 tablespoons of salt and a cup or two of ice to a cool pot. Swirl ingredients around in the coffee pot for several minutes, or until stains are completely removed. If stains are stubborn, leave the mixture in the coffee pot and soak for several hours or overnight. Rinse the coffee pot well before using it again.
8) Use orange peel as Plant fertilizer:
Lemon peels are a good source of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. When your soil needs a boost, you can add in ground up lemon peels. The peels will release the nitrogen and the result is nutrient rich soil your plants which your plants required for proper growth. Or else, throw them in your composting bin. Make sure to chop them into tiny bits before composting as it will degrade faster. Citrus peels will give plants that need a little extra acidity the nutrient boost that they need. Grind dry peels in a food processor and sprinkle the powder over acid-loving plants like blueberries and radishes.

10) Lemon peel freshener:
You can simmer lemon peels on the stovetop. In a large-sized pot, combine lemon peels with cinnamon sticks, cloves and water on low flame. If you want to feel your home smell like lemons immediately or some guests are coming over.
11) Clean your microwave and stove top:
Put two lemon halves that have already been squeezed, into the microwave for about 30 seconds with half cup of water. And keep the cup inside microwave for good 5-10miuntes then carefully take the lemon halves and use them to clean the inside of the microwave, as well as the stove top and the range hood. Rub lemon halves onto surfaces, then wipe clean with a wet dishcloth.
11) Lemon peel soap:

Method: Place the 1 cup glycerin soap base and 4 table spoon lemon zest in a microwave safe container preferably in a large glass Bowl for 1 minute. Alternatively you can use double boiler method also
After that Allow to
cool while stirring.
Pour the soap mixture into the silicone molds and set aside to cool.
Once full cool, pop the soap bars out.
Lemons can eliminate bad smells of all kinds from the refrigerator. Soak lemon peels in water and place it inside the fridge to absorb odors.
12) Deter cats:
Citrus is a known cat repellent. If you want to keep cats out of a garden or indoor plants, you can scatter your lemon peels around or mulch the surface of your soil with citrus peels. Keep cats off countertops or shelves by placing your lemon peels in small bowls on these surfaces. Spray your citrus/vinegar cleaner on rugs or around doorways of rooms you want your cats to stay out of. Just a few slices of cut lemon placed near a litter box will help neutralize unpleasant odors
13) Remove odor from shoes and foot:
Lemons are acidic and it kills the bacteria that cause the odor. It also lowers sweating by closing the skin pores. Squeezed lemon and pour some baking soda and rub your foots keep this for 5 minutes and wash your foots with Luke warm water alternatively Just Add 4 tablespoon of lemon juice to a 4 cups of lukewarm water. Soak your feet in it for about 15 minutes.

Just allow the juice to dry on the skin, or rinse off after 15-20 minutes. Repeat every day. Rinse off after 20 minutes.
17) Clean and sanitize cutting boards:
Lemon is excellent source of cleaning and eliminating odors that are trapped in your cutting board because of its antibacterial properties. Take half a squeezed lemon with the pulp intact and pour good amount of salt on it, rub thoroughly over a cutting board and rinse after 5 minutes and allow to dry naturally and your chopping board will be as good as new .

Take the leftover lemons peels (I have taken peels of 7 lemons) and put them in a large jar, fill it to the top with white distilled vinegar and pop it in a cupboard out of direct sunlight for about 2 weeks. Strain out the peels and funnel your solution into a spray bottle. Use it on kitchen tops, in the bathroom, anywhere where ever it’s required!

Add the chopped peels of 2 lemons to 4 tablespoon or fill almost to the top with apple cider vinegar. Allow it to sit for 1-2 weeks and strain out peels. Add about 1 tablespoon of this citrus vinegar solution to 1 cup of water, and use as a conditioning rinse after shampooing. Allow the rinse to remain on the hair for a few minutes, then rinse out or just leave in. and use mild shampoo for your hair wash .
