The kitchen is the one place in the house that most of us are obsessed about keeping clean. and kitchen clothes are the one who exposed to all kinds of food, liquids and we use them for wipe off our hands some time while at the time cooking or occupied at the busy routine of work in kitchen But have you ever wondered that the -cloth you use to wipe down spilled foods, a wet counter top and in some cases even mop up spills in the kitchen sink, could very well be the most dirtiest thing in your kitchen?

With the regular use, these clothes get smelly and rough and no doubt also lead to mildew growth; there are several ways to remove this “kitchen odor” from your towels and dishcloths. Find one below that works for you.

1) Baking soda: Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) that you have in your pantry is also an inexpensive way to remove odors from clothes, boost detergent and bleach performance, soften clothes, clean an iron and control detergent suds. As a natural mineral, baking soda is less harsh on the environment than synthetic fabric softeners .This also makes it a good choice for kitchen cleaning towels and clothes.

Method: Take 4 tablespoon of baking soda and add this to boiling water. Let the baking soda dissolved. Now add your stinky clothes and Leave the cloth in till the water comes to a rolling boil and allow the cloth to stay in the boiling solution for a few minutes. After wash as usual normal process. Baking soda helps to regulate the pH level in the washer's rinse water by keeping it from being too acidic or alkaline.

2)  Vinegar and lemon: Both lemon and vinegar are not only flavoring agents but very effective organic cleaning agents as well. vinegar has deodorizing and anti fungal properties that’s why use in many ways ,while Lemon has astringent, bleaching and anti-bacterial properties, that make them both excellent organic cleaning agents  also  their flavoring agents but very effective organic cleaning agents as well.

Method: All you need to do is take ½ cup of vinegar and ¼ cup lemon juice and add a tablespoon of salt in warm water once everything mixes well. Soak your kitchen towel in this solution for a few hours. While the cloth is soaking, scrub it a bit at regular intervals to get rid of any stains and to allow the mixture to seep into the pores of the cloth. After a few hours remove the cloth from the solution and rinse it well under fresh water. You could use warm water to get rid of any residual matter. Now dry the cloth well and your kitchen cloth is ready to be used again. You can choose to do this once in a week apart from your regular wash cycle of towels.

3) Borax powder: Borax (sodium tetra borate) is a naturally-occurring mineral which is mined from the ground. It’s being years Borax powder is using as its cleaning agents. There are multiple borax uses around the home as an ingredient in many household cleaning products, including air fresheners, cleaning sprays. Other than that there are a great number of benefits of using borax powder in your washing, your kitchen towels are clothes which are hard to wash and keep clean. Borax can keep white clothes white for longer, soften hard water, get rid of odors and bacteria, and remove stubborn stains.

Method: It can be used as both ways, if you wish to use as a pre-treatment to get rid of odors and bacteria and to remove stubborn stains mix borax solution of ¼cup tablespoon borax to 2 liters of warm water, then soak your stained garments for up to 30 minutes. And if you think that it’s easier to handle with normal wash as they are not as such smelly or dirt so  use ½ cup of borax powder in the detergent drawer of your washing machine to boost your regular wash cycle.

Bonus tips:

1)    Make sure that you keep your kitchen clean and dry.  Your towels will pick up the smell in the air and from moisture.

2)    Never hang towels on top of one another as this will make it difficult for them to dry fully and get air in between.  Let cloths dry completely between uses.  If they are still damp, germs, moisture and odors will accumulate.

3)    Try to place kitchen towels in hot water for at least a hour in every month and so on as with this if there are any bacteria , odors or gems remains in regular wash so by doing everything will clear off.
