How to make orange oil at home without alcohol with discussing numerous benefits of using it

Orange oil peeled from the outer surface of the fruit is known for its immunity improvising ability due to the properties of the majorly present ingredients especially limonene. What is zest?

Orange zest is the colored outside portion of its peel. It carry a lot of vitamin c then the oranges and mostly use for making products  like orange cream , serum ,toner , oil and so on along use for bring citrusy, tangy flavor to recipes. It’s great in salad dressings like our Citrus Salad Dressing, or baked goods like Orange & Fennel Cake.

And the most important part of how to zest an orange:

You want the colorful part of the peel only, not the white pith! The pith has a bitter flavor if you are doing to use it for cooking and same its avoided for making products because zest only carry all the goodness.

 

For taking out the zest of orange peel we can use grater, micro plane, peeler or knife too, it’s totally your choice how would you are comfortable taking out zest.

For making orange essential oil will share the two methods:

1) If possible so use organic oranges because it’s free from chemicals and pesticides.

2) Then wash oranges proper to avoid contaminating oil and dry them with the help of clean towel.

3) I used hand grater as I find it comfortable using it to peel the oranges zest and do not add pitch.

That will as same for both methods:

1)      For first we use the double boiler method to make the oil as its instant

2)      Take a cup of oil and pour into it.

3)      Place the bowl in boiler and add oil

4)      And now add the orange zest; it should be in same proportion.

5)      Allow to heat the oil so that the orange zest extracts the oil.

6)      Give it good mix and wait for 2 minutes so that oil will infused with orange zest.

7)      Allow to cool for some time. For excellent flavor

8)      Do not wait for longer time as the zest will absorb the oil .

9)      Strain the mixture into a bowl.

10)   Squeeze all the oil into oil .and transfer it into airtight glass container.

11)   You can also add the vitamin E capsule to Extend the lifespan of oil

12)   And oil is all ready to use.

For the second method:

1)      Put the orange zest into a glass container.

2)      Pour 1 cup of oil in it. (I used coconut oil you can use olive oil too.

3)      Cover and shake and at least sit the zest for 7days into oil.

4)      After 7days strain the oil and with this your oil is ready to use.

 

You can use it for many ways and easily store up to  3 months and add vitamin E capsule if you want to store for the longer period of time .
