Vitamin-C serum really works for uneven skin tone, rough texture, fine lines, acne scars, and general dullness. In short any common problem related to complexion concern can relate somewhere with Vitamin-C. "Because of its antioxidant properties its helpful for leading with complexion related concern , as vitamin C aids in your skin's natural regeneration process, which helps your body repair damaged skin cells." Amazingly, Vitamin-C 's skin-saving benefits aren't limited to its antioxidant status. It has plenty of other skin-healing properties that make it worthy of a permanent place in your skin care routine. For one, because it's highly acidic, when Vitamin-C is used topically "the skin is triggered to heal itself by accelerating the production of collagen and elastic which help in prevent premature aging of the skin. It contain another cool property that inhibits your skin’s melanin production .and with continued tropical use, Vitamin-C can help prevent dark sports and helpful for skin pigmentation.
Although you’re probably getting Vitamin-C in your diet, there’s no way to guarantee that it’s going straight to your skin. Using serums and other topical products is the most direct way to reap these benefits.
Now with the background detail of why Vitamin-C is excellent source for glowing skin lets discuss how to can make your own economical and easy DIY serum and how it’s going to do wonder with your skin as I itself faced the dark sports and pigmentation and after tried out so many expensive serums I keep on checking what all they include in their serums to make them super expensive then I think why should not at least I try to make my own ,It may not be at the level but at least I m assure that this will solve the purpose and not affect my pocket too . I cannot express in words how much I delighted with the end result of making my own vitamin c in such easy way with hardly spending much.
Ingredients
1) 5 Vitamin-C tablets or 1teaspoon pure Ascorbic Acid
2) 4 Tablespoon Rose water
3) 2 Vitamin-E capsule
4) 1 Tablespoon Glycerin
5) Dark color bottle to store the serum
Method: In mixing bowl take 5 Vitamin-C tablet in powder form into it (I generally use the Celin 500 mg).
2)Add 4 tablespoon of rose water into it .
3)Add 1 tablespoon glycerin to it you can reduce the quantity of
glycerin if have oily skin but for normal skin its perfect combination.
4) Once dissolved, now add finally 2 Vitamin-E capsule ( Evion 400 mg)stir until everything mix well, now pour the serum into a dark amber bottle.
Store the serum in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. And if you use this every
day before bed time so this quantity will consumed within week only as per my
experience because Around the two weeks’ time you may notice the
serum's pH level change. Your serum may have a different color and
consistency, depending on the Vitamin-C powder used. use the serum before bed,
wash your face, then use a toner but
personally I directly use this homemade
vitamin c serum (Make sure to shake the serum bottle before every use ) as it’s as good as with richness of rose
water which is again the base of most of skin
toner, followed by night cream or moisturizer.
Caution
1) Always patch test before using directly over face as everyone have different skin type so the reaction may also differ ,make first small portion to try and if suits then go ahead with mention quantity to make the serum for week and so on.
2) Make sure to use the before bedtime only and use sunscreen when going out during date time too.
3) Vitamin-C has a very a short life span. The serum may begin to fluctuate in pH when it’s no longer suitable for use on the skin. A change in pH may result in more harm than good when you apply the serum to your skin. So better to make this only for week as it’s easy to make so you can make new batch for weekly use.
4) You should make sure you close the lid tightly each time you use it as oxygen breaks down Vitamin-C
5) Fridge is a right place to store Vitamin-C Serum, because the refrigeration will help delay the oxidation process longer than storing it at room temperature. If possible for you so store this in fridge.
