Background
Hand sanitizer is a liquid, gel, or foam based and used to decrease infectious agents on hands. In most situation its always best to wash your hands with soap and water ,As like the origin of covid-19 pandemic, but every then and there is not possible for everyone to have access to wash your hands now what we can do at the situation so the temporarily solution to this is using sanitizer and with the demand of sanitizer are like not ever before this much as we have now and keep this in mind and lack of availability and even suggest by the health regulates departments, the most effective method of preventing viruses and germs is to keep as much as hygiene and use sanitizer on regular interval without fail.
After buying number of sanitizer bottles from market for us, I keep on checking what all used to make it. And I still remember when I didn’t got the desired one from market then I think like other skincare natural articles I use to prepare myself ,so why not I should give a try for making my own sanitizer and on my surprise I got to know that I have everything available with me so here is the reason why i made my sanitizer and able to share my way of making the same and I know it’s hard to trust over words but I m overwhelmed with the end result and decided to write an article about how to make a home-made by very simple way with easily available ingredients.
So without getting further let’s come to the process
THINGS WE NEED
1) 2/3 Cup rubbing alcohol (should content at least 60%)
2) 1/3 Cup Aloe Vera Gel (Natural or store bought)
3)10 drops Essential oil (I used Rosemary oil)
4) 1 tablespoon Glycerin
Method:
Mix running alcohol and aloe Vera gel, here would like to mention I used the natural aloe Vera extract from garden you can use store bought too but make sure to get gel though , not a lotion if you are using store bought then mix thoroughly until it mix properly . Then add 10 drops of rosemary essential oil with 1 table spoon of glycerin into it and Pour the mixture into bottle and close the same.
That’s it, your home-made hand sanitizer is ready to use. Keep this hand sanitizer handy and use the same at regular intervals.
Why to use the combination of these ingredients
The main ingredient for making this disinfectant is (Rubbing alcohol) which I would like to specify not to use any other type of alcohol as it might be toxic.
Aloe Vera gel prevent skin from harsh drying from alcohol as its having natural moisturizer. And it works well for adding thickness to your hand sanitizer for easier and effective same gel consistency like commercial one. It contain agents also which helps to kill the bacteria and viruses. As Rubbing alcohol is base for making sanitizer so it might cause your skin irritation and itching but by mixing aloe Vera gel it helps to rid of such problem.
Glycerin works as skin barriers in this recipe .As it helps to lock the moisturizer and nourishment and is a great natural emulsifier when mixing rosemary oil in this DIY recipe. Make sure you use vegetable glycerin as its perfect when using for skincare secrets .
There are many essentials oils which are rich in anti-microbial and anti-viral properties like tea tree, oregano, cinnamon, lavender ,rosemary etc all are useful while making homemade sanitizer as apart the quality of fighting germs ,they are rich source of giving excellent fragrance too now for making my type of sanitizer I personally love to use rosemary and tea tree oil you can also got ahead with anyone as rosemary is natural antiseptic that fights bacteria growth while tea tree has antiseptic and antiviral properties and is often used to skin abrasions and other fungal problems
