BEST OUT OF MY KNOWLEDGE FOR COVID-19 SPEEDY RECOVER  

Perfect food and balance diet is good for both situation during COVID-19 patients and who have already recover, As COVID -19 the body needs more energy to recover speedily. Normally start with meeting 50% of the nutritional requirement of the day and gradually increase to 75% and make sure to reach the level of 100% of your daily Requirement.

The main diet focus for COVID patients is to consume foods that would help rebuild muscle, immunity and energy levels.

Healthy diet is also a big factor in dealing with covid  patient , for fast recover avoid oily food and add more of fibers and fresh green vegetables and citric fresh fruit.

Well it’s my personal opinion how to add few things in your daily routine will help to easy recover.

Diet must be included:

Whole grains like Ragi, oats or sprouts are rich sources of complex carbohydrates.

Chicken, fish, eggs, paneer, soya, nuts and seeds are some good sources of protein.

Healthy fats like walnuts, almonds, olive oil

For boosting  one’s immunity, one should take turmeric milk daily before bed time .


 

Nutritional guidelines for COVID patients

 Leftover food should not be consumed .

 Regular physical activity and breathing exercise to be advised, as per medical advice.

 Have balanced diet with moderate carbs and fats, and High Biological Value proteins.

 Provide Oral Nutrition Supplements and Antioxidants to meet the demands of the patients.

 Consumption of Antioxidant Vitamins and Minerals should be encouraged especially Vitamin C and D.


 

COVID – Diet (Dos and Don'ts)

Colored fruits and vegetables are a must to get adequate vitamins and minerals when you are COVID positive. You can have small amounts of dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa which can lift your mood, get rid of anxiety and will also boost your immunity.

Most COVID patients experience loss of smell and taste or difficulty in swallowing. It is important to eat soft foods at small intervals and to add amchoor in the food. Other than that gooseberry ( ambla ) is also a great choice .


 

Add variety of grains and fruits and vegetables:

On daily basis, eat a combination of different foods including whole grains such as wheat, maize and rice, legumes like lentils and beans, fruit and vegetables and some foods from animal sources (e.g. meat, fish, eggs and milk).

Avoid junk food and the food which contain trans fats such as fried food like doughnuts and baked goods – including biscuits, frozen pizza and burger, cookies and crackers.



Try to minimally processed foods and ingredients are better choices. Consume enough  fibre , Fibre contributes to a healthy digestive system and offers a prolonged feeling of fullness, which helps prevent overeating.
